The SMSC U13 Boys Stampede team advanced to the 2012 Missouri State Cup competition in Springfield, MO June 9-16. The brackets were drawn April 27^th. With only 16 slots available for the age group the age group names were chosen as to who would automatically qualify and who would have to enter by a playing game.  The Stampede were drawn against the KC Fusion out of Kansas City and the Game was played last Saturday in Warrenton, MO. Our team took a 2-0 lead into half time.  The KC team closed the gap to 2-1 but our boys put the game out of reach in the late stages of the second half.  The team is now in preparation for their first state cup appearance.
